4Ply 100% Merino Yarn – 400metres
Pure superwash treated Merino in all its glory with my unique colourways enabling you to express yourself!
This yarn knits up well for items like socks, scarves, shawls, babywear, cardigans, fair isle projects.. the list goes on.
Knitted using 2.75mm needles, this yarn has a tension of 30 stitches to 38 rows. However, gauge swatching is always a good idea for best results. A generous 400 metres per 100 gram skein, I find that once knitting a pair of average size socks I have enough left over for a contrasting cuff and heel for another pair of socks.
Suggested needle size is 2.25mm to 3.25mm which would suit many fingering/4ply patterns.
8ply/Double Knit Yarn 100% Merino – 225metres
For the bolder, bigger knits, this superwash treated sheepy yarn is bouncy, soft and bursting with yarny goodness! A great 225m per 100 gram skein, there is enough in just one skein for a small handkerchief style shawl complete with tassles! Also being double knit, this yarn will knit up quickly and smoothly for many garment uses.
Suggested needle size is 4mm to 5mm, but I always suggest swatching to get a match for your recommended pattern gauge.
4ply 80% Merino/10% Cashmere/10%Nylon (MCN) – 400metres
This is my favourite yarn base in my collection. With the robust Merino, luxuriousness of Cashmere and the strength of the tiniest bit of nylon, this is truly a treat.. also superwash treated, a whopping 400 metres of this yarn in each skein will give you more ‘bang for your buck’. Suitable for jerseys, shawls, socks (you’ll be walking on a cloud!), hats, and babywear (and more!).
Suggested needle size is 2.75mm to 3.25mm, but as I always suggest, check your gauge suggested by your pattern to avoid disappointment.
100% Blue Faced Leicester 4ply – 400m
This is the product of the English breed of Blue Faced Leicester (BFL). Excellent for socks, strong with an excellent stitch definition and slight lustre. Being superwash treated, it is also good for all sorts of fingering/4ply projects. This yarn will stand the test of time. My definite go to for a great pair of socks.
Suggested needle size is the same as for the 4ply merino, 2.75mm to 3.25mm giving you a tension of 30 stitches to 38 rows.
Tender 78% Kid Mohair, 28% Silk
This is a whopping 420 metres of pure cloud like softness. Light as air and warm as toast, this lace weight is an excellent choice for the one skein shawls or a fabulous cardigan.
